If you cannot get to the hospital you may qualify for assistance from the Patient Transport Service or voluntary transport.
Harrogate and Ripon Community Transport
Transportation is provided by Harrogate and Ripon Community Transport (a service offered by TVCSA).

Boroughbridge and District Community Care
The volunteer driving service covers Boroughbridge and surrounding area and charged at 50p per mile with no booking fee and a maximum capped charge of £20 for the whole journey (there and back). Payment is by cash direct to the volunteer driver.
Nidderdale Community Transport
Nidderdale Community Transport is a partnership with North Yorkshire County Council, who have provided Nidderdale Plus with a Community Car, for use by residents who have no access to public or private transport, may live in a rurally isolated location and require door-to-door assistance with local transport needs.
Volunteer drivers have been MIDAS-trained and undergone disclosure and barring checks and are available for pre-booked journeys. They will try to find a volunteer driver for you, and will advise on fares (according to mileage). They offer concessionary fares in cases of severe hardship to be discussed when your book your journey.
They charge 45p per mile plus a £1 booking fee. Payment is by card if possible when you book the transport.
