Supporting adult children who care for their ageing parents

Carents is the UK’s national organisation dedicated to supporting adult children who care for their ageing parents. It is estimated that there are over 4 million carents in the UK, representing 57% of all carers. The term ‘carent’ refers to an adult child who provides unpaid care to one or both ageing parents.

The social enterprise offers practical guidance, emotional support, and  resources, with a range of online guides covering many aspects of ageing, including  planning ahead, care services, and dementia.

The website also features The Carents Lounge, an online peer-support community, as well as a range of downloadable guides, reports, toolkits and ebooks.
